Christmas bags

For the teachers gifts I wanted to make the gift bags more Christmas like so I made a Mr. & Mrs. Clause at 2.5 inches tall. The pair can be found on the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge from Provo Craft.

The brown paper gift bags I found in the craft section of a local Wal-Mart. I decorated them using stamps from Stamping Up. What an easy and in-expensive way to give gifts. I am definitly looking forward to making more of these bags for other occaisions.

This is the frame I have done for myself. The papers are virtually the same with a couple of extra pieces also from My Minds Eye. The background piece on mine is darker which worked out great because of having a black and white photo added.

This is the photo frame that I have made for my mom for christmas. In it are 2 photos of her 5 grandchildren.
The frame is from Creative Memories and the paper is from My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found series)
The photos were printed in a sepia tint and are both 5x7 before being slightly cropped.

How cool is this?

So I stumbled across this amazing new product that I think I need to get my hands on. It's called a scrap N tote and it is a large heavey duty binder made for storing your cricut carts, books and overlays. The binder comes with 12 heavey duty sheets of clear plastic with 3 pockets on each sheet. So each binder will hold 36 carts in total. Or if you want you can double up on some if they are lites or solutions.

There is also a clear pocket for other supplies as well as a plae to store your 12x12 matts and some paper.

This is the website

Their blog can be found at

They are having an awesome contest where you can win a champagne coloured cricut and a scrap n tote! Check it out.

If you have one of these totes, let me know what you think.

Happy scrappin everyone!

This is the chocolate Everyday Display from Creative Memories. For the month of November, when you purchased the display, you recieved a bonus package of papers and 2 clear decorative overlays. There are so many different things to make with this and it was a lot of fun to play around with.
I ended up making ours a family display with a photo of the 4 of us and then the boys playschool until current school pictures.
When I showed my hubby, he said "huh, looks like we need to get some new photos done"
Hmmm, you think? Lol. That family photo is at least 4 years old!

Merry Christmas!
I am only 2.5 years behind in my boys albums now so I am very happy. Lol.
I love this page as it shows the joy that christmas eve brings to my boys. They love getting Santa's plate ready before they go to bed. Our Santa plate was painted by a very good friend of mine named Kimberly. As you can tell, she is very talented.
The papers and embellishments used are all from Creative Memories.

Here are a couple of pages that I am working on for my mom's christmas gift. I have done an album for her celebrating the birth of each of her grandchildren. I am a little behind with this last one as my neice turned 2 this past June.... oooppps....
My mom is the one in the blue sweater.
Almost forgot, these are 8x8 digital pages that I have done with Creative Memories Storey Book Creator Plus

Oh my...

Well I just remembered that I haven't been on my blog and so I come on and ooops, it has been 4 months since my last post! Yikes.

Now if I actually had lots of people following me that would be a very sad thing indeed. Since there are only a handful of us on here it is safe to say that it's not a big deal. Lol.

I do feel bad though.
The camp and crop I had mentioned in my last post went great. We got lots of scrappin done and even had a fire and some drinks on the saturday evening. Note to self, next time, split some kindling before it is dark!

So now, tomorrow, is the start of my 2 day croptoberfest event. I'm not sure if I have mentioned or not but I am a CM consultant. So my group of scrappy ladies are very much looking forward to this weekend as am I.

I got lots of neat little goodies for them and have some wonderful meals planned. I WILL post some pics if I get the okay from my ladies.

I have 2 pictures that I will post. One is the barn from the Create a critte cartridge that I used on a farm page. I LOVE this cart as it has so many great things to be used on it.

The next one is a page that I did using the new page planner guide from CM which is amazing and so helpful in creating beautiful pages without the stress. Also used on this page is the pumpkin from the Cheerful cart available only through CM. The words down the side are on of the fonts also available on the cart.

You can get your own page planner and CM only carts @ http://www.creativememories.ca/ or http://www.creativememories.com/

No new pictures to post at this time but I have been playing with some vinyl and decorating my E with it. Lol. It is now sporting a chocolate bunny and a pink and blue hippo to keep the giraffe comapany. As soon as I get the 2 rolls of transfer tape from my vinyl supplier- It's a Vinyl Thing- then I will get to work on cutting out the circles that a friend is going to use to decorate her daughters room. I will post photos of that project once it's complete.
I am going scrapbooking this saturday and looking forward to it. Out of our group of monthly scrappers only myself and my friend K will be attending from the sounds of it. Everyone else is to busy so her and I will have the hall all to ourselves! Ahhhh, the sweet sounds of no children present for a few hours. Lol. I do love my once a month mommy break.
We are taking a break next month for our group and then in August I am hosting a 3 day camp and crop at the hall and we are looking forward to that!
I will post some new photos soon and look forward to more blog hopping. Thanks for stopping by!

So today is Hello Thursday and the official launch of the 24 new Lite carts from PC available exclusivly to Wal-Mart. Now on PC's website it says that the carts won't be available until July 1st. I spoke to the dept manager at my local wally world and she hasn't heard anything yet about new carts....BUT...she did say that they are very close to getting rid of the last of their fabric supply and it will strictly be a crafting section. So she isn't surprised PC has created a Wal-Mart only line of carts. So never fear canucks, we will have access to the carts through our stores, just not sure when. She did say that the carts they have in stock are currently on roll back for $67-$69 right now. Might be a good time to go take a look. I am going to attempt to post a bunch of pics of some of the new Lite carts. Enjoy! Which ones will YOU be getting?!?!

My Pink Stamper

My Pink Stamper

The other project that I worked last night was cutting out some bugs for my youngest son Ty's pre-K class. They are working on insects for the last few weeks of school. I used the stretch your imagination cart and the create a critter cart. I cut them out between 1 and 1.5 inch sizes, in different shades of cardstock from stamping up and CM.
So the kids can grab some bugs and get crafty! Lol

Good morning friends,
so I had an itch to be creative last night. I decided that I wanted to try to make the giraffe from the Create a Critter cart in vinyl. I have a friend with a young daughter who has been carting around a stuffed giraffe that she named Fluff for the last 3 yrs or so.
I used 3 different colours of vinyl, golden yellow, light brown and dark brown. I cut the first one out at the 3 inch size with all of the settings, blade depth, pressure and speed set at 2.
The second giraffe was cut out in a 6 inch size. As you can see from the photos, they are not perfect but pretty good for a first attempt at layering vinyl. I am going to check youtube and see if there are any videos on how to to it right. It's a little tricky doing it by hand but I love how cute they are.
I put the lil guy on the back of my expression so he will always be a little bit of inspiration for me.

My Pink Stamper

My Pink Stamper

Well I think I am slowly getting this blog thing figured out. Now if I can attach some photos of work I have done then it will be all good. Lol.
If this worked, then it should be a pic of the first page I did using my Create a Critter cart. The barn goes with the cow image and I have to say that I LOVE this cart!
Well, I guess I just created my own blog. Lol. So since I have no idea how this works it is going to be a learning process. If you are reading this please have some paticence with me until I get this figured out!
For those of you who know me, you know how much I love to scrapbook and even dable in card making! I have lots af amazing girl friends who scrap with me and THEY make the most amazing cards and layouts.
I started scrapbooking over 10 years ago when Creative Memories was introduced to me and I fell in love with it.... and so it began!
I'm hoping to figure out how to upload photos so that I can post pics of some of the stuff I have done and also stuff that my friends have done if they let me! Lol
Enjoy,
any suggestions would be welcome and helpful!

Happy scrappin!
